From there, he was first loaned to Danish Super League club Esbjerg fB and then to Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II.

In August 2020, he finally signed his contract with English Premier League club Liverpool FC, becoming only the second Greek footballer (after Sotirios Kyrgiakos) to play for Liverpool FC.
