The Prize

Stunning board printed and signed by the talented Italian cartoonist Stefano Biglia.

In 1989 Biglia attended the Chiavari school of comics, where he met Renzo Calegari, the author with whom he created two noir stories and led him to create numerous stories for Il Giornalino. In 1994 he joined Sergio Bonelli Editore. In January of the same year "Zeke Colter's Ballad" was published, a Tex adventure that Biglia drew together with Calegari and Luigi Copello. The texts were by Claudio Nizzi and the story appeared in the "Almanacco del West". Following this experience, Biglia joined the Nick Raider design team. After three stories drawn together with Copello (the first of which was entitled Nobody is innocent, written by Nizzi and published in issue 84 in May 1995), he produced a solo issue published in February 1998 (Un delitto inexplicabile, texts by Alfredo Nogara).

Later he became an illustrator for Magico Vento, making his debut drawing "The mask of the cannibal god" (texts by Gianfranco Manfredi, nº 28 in October 1999) and for which he worked until 2010. Again with Manfredi, he worked on the boards for a new character created by the Milan-based writer Shanghai Devil with his story published in Color Tex n. 4.
