La via del Tè – 70x70 cm – acrylic and charcoal on canvas.

An unusual work in terms of size and stroke (usually the artist's canvases are larger and realistic connotations of the subject are lost), the work "La via del Tè" complements “Fluttuanti Orli del Velo”.

The two works have very similar characteristics… we see a figure, a geisha, just a hint comes from the strength of the contrast between the white of the veil and the black of the hair. The absence of faces add nothing to the grace of the movement. She highlights some details (the hand, the foot, the buttons of the dress), letting the viewer imagine a story. The golden yellow background that conditions the movement and underlines her being "artist of the floating world", a term coined in 1661 by the writer Ryoi Asai. Nothing else is needed, if not to leave interiorization to the freedom of the gaze and mind. A mind free to experience the poetry that exists in the pursuit of pleasure, wherever it takes us. Fearless and free from confines.

Savor the body, its emotional tensions. Who are we? Where are we? Why are we? Who are we for? Forced to be with ourselves, we look in the mirror and see a faded image of ourselves (our Nemesis). Knowing how to look at oneself while accepting all the imperfections that define us and make us real. The unbearable weight of being imperfect. Accepting oneself. Living.
