Ai.Bi. - Amici dei Bambini

Ai.Bi. Amici dei Bambini was set up in 1986 by a group of adoptive and foster families. The association's mission is to guarantee that every child has right to be a child and to grow up in a family and today has more than 80 members and 156 volunteers operating in Italy with its national headquarters in San Giuliano Milanese and 25 regional offices, as well as information points in every region and a network of “Pan di Zucchero” Family Service Centers around the world with 33 operating offices in Eastern Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia.

Here are some of the numbers from Ai.Bi.'s 30 years of work in Italy and around the world: 60000 children supported at a distance; 3997 abandoned children rehired with an adoptive family; 600 families supported by the Pan Di Zucchero Family Service Centers in Italy; 201 children and teenagers welcomed into foster care family homes; 134 teenagers, 153 children and 104 mothers welcomed into mother-child communities and semi and high autonomy accommodation; 44 foster families accompanied over the course of their family reception project.

In this COVID 19 health emergency, Ai.Bi. is on the side of already fragile children and families who have found themselves facing isolation: minors without any family support have been welcomed alone or together with their mothers to our host communities in Italy and children abandoned in African and South American institutions, together with family members who have survived the war in the north of Syria, have been helped.

Take part in the "Il Bello che Fa Bene" ("Nice things to do good") Charity Auction and support the "ContinuiamodaiBambini" project so that children, adolescents and families are not left alone at this time of need!
