Giorgio Cavazzano is an Italian cartoonist, considered one of the leading Italian illustrators of stories featuring Mickey and Donald. He is best known as a cartoonist for Disney comics published in Italy first by Mondadori, then Disney Italy from 1989 and Panini Comics from 2013, as well as French Disney magazines such as Mickey Parade and Le Journal de Mickey, as well as non-Disney comics and others realism illustrations.
He has also worked in animation and advertising.

A number of great artists including Milo Manara, Paolo Bacilieri, Tanino Liberatore, Maria Nives Manara, Giorgio Cavazzano and Matteo Bussola have joined forces to support the Pangea "Afghanistan Emergency" project. History Life Onlus was responsible for the organization of the project that takes the name "Free Art for Pangea".
