Sam Fender is a British singer-songwriter and musician known for his work in the alternative rock and indie rock genres. He gained significant recognition and popularity for his heartfelt and socially conscious lyrics, as well as his powerful vocals.

Fender started performing in local pubs and clubs, gaining experience and a following in the North East of England. He released his debut single, "Play God," in 2017, which garnered attention from music critics.
