One advanced student will sit side-by-side with a member of The New York Pops and perform live, on-stage at Carnegie Hall for one selection during the orchestra's November 16, 2018 concert, “Song and Dance: The Best of Broadway.” The winning bidder will also attend a rehearsal with the orchestra prior to the concert.

From overtures to dream ballets to 11 o'clock numbers, The New York Pops presents your favorite moments from musical theater, featuring compositions by Leonard Bernstein, Richard Rodgers, and Jule Styne.

Please note: Valid for one piece during The New York Pops November 16, 2018 concert, “Song and Dance: The Best of Broadway” at Carnegie Hall. Limited to advanced students ages 13+ only. Excludes piano, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, electric bass, harp and voice. Repertoire is at the sole discretion of The New York Pops. Winner will be expected to attend the orchestra rehearsal according to The New York Pops’ schedule.

The Cause

The New York Pops is the largest independent pops orchestra in the United States and the only professional symphonic orchestra in New York City specializing in popular music.

Led by Music Director Steven Reineke, the orchestra performs throughout New York City with an annual subscription series at Carnegie Hall and a summer residency at Forest Hills Stadium.

The New York Pops hosts fundraisers throughout the year in support of the orchestra and its PopsEd education programs, which reach more than 5,000 New York students each year.
