The Prize

Take home this stunning and exclusive work of art "Vollard Suite" by Pablo Picasso (*after).

This work pays tribute to the 100 original illustrations date back to 1930-1937, when Picasso drew the complete series, commissioned by Vollard, the art dealer. Numbered in pencil, printed signature and test mark in lower left corner**.

About the artist

Pablo Ruiz Picasso (25 October 1881 – 8 April 1973) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist and theatre designer who spent most of his adult life in France. Regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, he is known for co-founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture, the co-invention of collage, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore.

- Lithograph on Arches paper cut by hand
- Limited edition in 1200 copies
- Edition: 872/1200
- Edition SPADEM, 1973
- Sheet size: 32 x 42 cm

Please note: the numbering may differ from that indicated, but not the edition. The term *after refers to a work created after the artist's death starting from an original plate or subject. ** Sometimes, the artist drew a mark or figure on the edge of the stone or litho plate to test how the acid would react. This mark was usually destroyed before printing, but sometimes remained, not just on the test print but on the entire print series. This is a case in point.
