“Alba” vertical sculpture in plexiglass case.
Frayed fabric
70x20x8 cm
"Alba" is part of a series of works inspired by the romantic period, reflecting on the idea of escape. The feather evokes ideas of the flight of a bird as a sort of escape.
Who has never wanted to escape physically, spiritually or even by their imagination to other, less suffocating, brighter spaces?
For “Alba” I wanted to create very light feathers using pieces of frayed fabrics to evoke an ethereal moment, a moment in which the intense sky blue color symbolizes hope, while the drama is red and planted on the ground.
