Oleksandr Usyk is a Ukrainian professional boxer who is widely regarded as one of the top fighters in the world in the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions. He was born on January 17, 1987, in Simferopol, Crimea, Ukraine.
Usyk first gained international prominence as an amateur boxer, winning numerous accolades and medals. He won the gold medal in the heavyweight division at the 2012 London Olympics, establishing himself as a top amateur in the sport.
As a professional, Usyk made a significant impact in the cruiserweight division. He held all four major world titles in the cruiserweight division, unifying the division by winning the WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBF titles.
