Juan Ayuso Pesquera is a Spanish road cyclist who rides for UAE Team Emirates.

A professional racer since 14 June 2021, in that year he won the Under 23 Giro d'Italia and the European Under 23 bronze in road racing.

The young Spaniard is the new promising star of cycling: his passion for cycling came about almost by chance, thanks to his best friend who at the age of 7 invited him to train with him and at the age of 11 Juan Ayuso gave up football to devote himself completely to cycling.

His first idol was Contador, not only for their shared Spanish origins, but above all for his cycling style and the way he tackles the stages.

The Cause

The BOF is an association based in Imola in the province of Bologna, a city known worldwide for its Autodrome where over the years it has hosted and still hosts international sporting events such as the Formula 1 Grand Prix or concerts by well-known musical groups/singers worldwide.

The Association also wants to support the "NeverGiveUp Memorial Nicola Ussia". The project was born in 2015 from the family's desire to remember Nicola, who died in 2009 of a heart attack. The goal is to raise awareness about the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. To do this, the association has organized an annual fundraiser. To date, with the money raised during the event, it has been possible to donate 7 defibrillators to some sports associations and educational institutions in the area.

Due to the CoronaVirus pandemic, the 6th NeverGiveUp Memorial Nicola Ussia could not take place in June. Despite this, thanks to the support of the BOF Association, a new initiative has been thought of: a charity auction of sports memorabilia whose proceeds will go towards the purchase of defibrillators.
