Take home this pink jersey worn by Italian former cyclist Ivan Basso for his Giro d'Italia 2010 victory.
A star competitor in the Giro d'Italia 2010, Ivan Basso won the final general classification: he finished first in the Monte Zoncolan stage, overtaking the world champion Cadel Evans on the uphill, and on May 28, at the end of the nineteenth Brescia-Aprica stage, he took back the pink jersey four years after he last wore it. By managing to get the better of the Spaniard David Arroyo, Ivan Basso won the ninety-third edition of the Giro d'Italia, finishing second in the climbers' ranking.
Ivan Basso, in agreement with Paolo Sandoni, Gallaratese craftsman and inventor of PlexiTube®, has decided to keep the jersey in a special circular display case: PlexiTube® is a patented display method for t-shirts and sports jerseys. This special PlexiTube® has been customized for the memorabilia: Ivan's signature has been laser engraved onto it, together with item details and the Giro d'Italia logo.
Funds raised from this auction will go to the campaign promoted by Gazzetta dello Sport and Giro d'Italia together with cycling legends in favor of the Italian Red Cross project to aid the COVID-19 emergency.
