Celebrated pop artist Andy Warhol became fascinated with Marilyn Monroe following her tragic death in 1962. Warhol’s images of Marilyn are considered the most iconic representations of the actress, as well as the most sought after editions of his work. Warhol’s original Marilyn silk-screens were reproduced as a series of screen prints in ten new colours, titled “Sunday B. Morning,” and are fully recognised as authentic reproductions in Warhol’s catalogue raisonné.
Framed in a simple white box frame, or black if you prefer, this unmistakable 92cm square image is printed on museum board, using the same high quality archival inks at the original silkscreens. A certificate of authenticity from Sunday B. Morning is stamped in blue ink on the reverse.
