Sebastian Burdon, stage name Whatshisname, was born in Poland in 1982 and currently resides in England. He first became involved in digital art at the age of 7. In 2006, Whatshisname moved to London and started as an assistant to several established British artists.
Today Whatshisname creates art using both digital and traditional means, communicating ideas that cannot be expressed in words alone. His works encourage the viewer to look at the world and question it in a derisive and unorthodox way. The idea of his pseudonym "Whatshisname" came to him through his personal struggle to remember the names of other artists, and he was also inspired by the song "Whatshername" by the American punk band Green Day.
