Allegrini Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 1500 ml, 2015.  

Amarone Classico Doc is a true classic. The result of the wisdom of the family Allegrini, it embodies the pursuit of perfection gained with years of experience and tradition, so many times awarded by Gambero Rosso and Wine Spectator. The grapes that give life to this wine are Corvina, Corvirone , Rondinella and Oseleta. The grapes are left to dry for about 4 months. Around the middle of January they are pressed and a long period of fermentation in steel tanks follows. It is aged in wooden barrels for 18 months and in bottles for a further 14 months.

Its color is ruby red. The nose reminiscent of ripe fruit and wild cherries with slightly spicy notes. On the palate it is a wine of great structure, with strong hints of spice due to the long aging.

Perfect to drink with important dishes such as venison, braised and grilled red meats, it is also an excellent companion to oriental dishes with sweet and sour flavors.
