The Volunteer Rescue Association of Cerveteri was conceived in May 1991 by a group of citizens from Cerveteri united by a sense of solidarity, altruism and civic duty. One of their first projects was in the medical field. The citizens donated an ambulance. This ambulance had a specialized nurse and/or a doctor, and this served as a great assistance to the emergency room. In the years that followed, they created a training program for the civil protection program and with the help of new and adequate technical means they participated and assisted with several national calamities as well as in forest fires.
At the moment, there are 40 active members , 2 professional nurses and 1 doctor and they are distributed in 2 intervention groups:
· 8 fire prevention operators
· 12 operators in the medical field (with first aid certification)
· 10 drivers
As.So.Vo.Ce is made up of 40 volunteers that meet to approve the balance sheet and the Association's operational guidelines.
