In the early 1990s, the three members became part of the Turin factory Bliss Corporation run by Massimo Gabutti and Luciano Zucchet. After taking part as artists and producers in numerous dance projects, in September 1998 they decided to form a band. This decision was the result of a collaboration of the three on a song entitled "Blue (Da ba dee)", the Eiffel 65 debut single. "Blue" managed to achieve amazing results: for several weeks the song was no. 1 in the sales charts across the world, including England and the United States. Eiffel 65 began a long period of promotional engagements and concerts all over the world which saw them perform alongside the biggest names in world music on television and radio, as well as being featured in the most important press.
Their greatest achievements are:
- triple platinum in the United States
- diamond disc in France with the album "Europop"
- triple platinum in Germany with "Blue"
- triple platinum in England with "Blue"
- triple platinum in Australia with "Blue"
- platinum disc for every single published
- gold disc in Italy for "Europop"
From their short but intense career Eiffel 65 boast other important international awards including the World Music Award received in Montecarlo in 2000 for the highest selling Italian artist in the world and the nomination for the American Grammy Awards in the category "best dance artist".
