Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back 'X-Wing Descends (Dagobah 264) - signed by Robert Watts

A signed original production used storyboard from the first movie in the epic George Lucas saga, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. This stunning storyboard came from a complete set created for the visual effects sequences, which included everything from miniature ships in the sky to the rotoscopic effects of lasers firing from the Death Star’s gun turrets.

This page features an image of Luke’s X-Wing descending to the planet Dagobah.The production used copy has a printed description beneath the illustration, marked as for the “Dagobah” sequence and numbered 264, and is printed on white US Legal-sized paper. It is hole-punched at the top, indicating that it would have been held together in sequence, forming a comprehensive shot by shot miniature version of the movie’s spectacular and ground breaking effects.

This piece has also been signed by the legendary veteran producer Robert Watts, the production manager on 'A New Hope', the associate producer on 'The Empire Strikes Back' and the co-producer of 'Return of the Jedi', who also produced the Indiana Jones trilogy and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

The storyboard comes beautifully presented in a custom-built frame with a laser-cut mount board featuring the classic movie title. The display is in excellent condition.

A-Star is the brainchild of Fitz Hall, Ken Bonsu and Ronnie Wilson and was set up with the aim of encouraging young people to express themselves in a positive manner and to make it possible to be around role models who do not glamorise crime, guns or drugs. With the death rate among teenagers increasing, the team wanted to do something. So the name A-Star was chosen (A-Star = every child is A-Star) which echoes the UK government initiative “Every child matters”. With those core beliefs in mind and heart, the guys set up a unique company that hopes to offer real opportunities for young people with a wide-ranging choice of activities to participate in and hopefully gain employment in a chosen field.

Building on young people’s passion for sport, music and the arts, and by connecting them with high performing professionals and mentors from these industries, we aim to create a dynamic range of programmes to engage young people to aspire to achieve their potential through education, training and employment, whilst maintaining a healthy lifestyle and positive attitudes.
