Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope Storyboard - signed by Robert Watts
This auction is for an original Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope - Luke's Cockpit - Production Storyboard, used for the first movie in the epic George Lucas saga, Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. The storyboard is one of a complete set created for the visual effects shot-by-shot sequences, which included everything from miniature ships in the sky to the rotoscopic effects of lasers firing from the Death Star's gun turrets.
This board shows Luke Skywalker in his X-Wing cockpit as he speeds down the Death Star trench. It is labelled as part of the 'Luke' sequence and shot as '343P'. It is printed on a sheet of peach-coloured paper and hole-punched at the bottom from where it was grouped in sequence. This piece has also been signed by the legendary veteran producer Robert Watts, who also produced the Indiana Jones trilogy and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
The storyboard comes beautifully presented in a custom-built frame with a laser-cut mount board featuring the classic movie title. The display is in excellent condition.
