About Gustav Klimt

Gustav Klimt was an Austrian painter and one of the leading figures of the Vienna Secession movement, which sought to break away from traditional art forms and create a new, modern style. Klimt is best known for his highly decorative, often erotic paintings featuring gold leaf and decorative motifs.

Words that Burn is a national Amnesty International UK project to explore and express human rights through poetry.

It challenges people to make a difference through poetry. As part of Words that Burn, Amnesty International UK supports educators by providing free educational resources to help secondary school students learn more about human rights through poetry and develop their own voice and performance style.
