Fabrizio Plessi is an Italian artist, who works in Italy and Germany, mainly in the field of video installations.
In 2000 he created the Italian pavilion for the Hanover Expo, with a monumental 44-meter installation. Called the Vertical Sea, it represented a continuous, uninterrupted flow of blue water.
In 2011 he curated the Venice Pavilion for the 54th Venice Biennale, with the same theme, on a smaller scale; screens projecting the flows of water were installed on boats, mounted in a vertical position.
