Piuma Kartell chair hand decorated by Illustri.

Piuma by name and by nature, is one of the most revolutionary and daring products in the evolution of technologies and materials used by Kartell. Designed by Piero Lissoni, Piuma is very light and very thin, but also incredibly strong, flexible and suitable for outdoor use. This unique piece has been hand decorated by the collective of Francesco Poroli, Luca Font, Elisa Macellari, Lucrezia Viperina, Anna Spreafico, Lara Montresor and Martina Dirce Carcano, 7 illustrators from the Illustri Association, a reference point for Italian illustrators since 2014, a professional network active and engaged in many events such as exhibitions, training activities, meetings organized in different cities and, above all, Illustri Festival, the illustration biennial hosted in the historic center of the city of Vicenza.

The Piuma chair decorated by Illustri is one of the 8 iconic Kartell objects customized by Illustri, the Italian association of illustrators, for Casa Illustri, an initiative promoted by Eataly Milano Smeraldo to mark Design Week. The objects will be on display in the store in Piazza XXV Aprile in Milan for the duration of the auction.
