The Prize

Take home Sara Cardin's signed glove, Karate World Champion and European Multi-Champion. The glove was worn in the last European championship in Serbia.

Corporal of the Italian Army, Sara is the most successful Karateka in Italian history. She has been training since she was 7 and at 14 she won her first Italian championship. Since then she has won numerous other titles, both nationally and internationally. She won silver at the Belgrade World Cup in 2010 and gold at the 2014 World Cup. She has also won the European Championships seven times (2010, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018) in the -55 kg category. She is precise and tenacious and knows that you have to train hard to win. Every competition is a chance for her to display her desire to fight as a woman, as well as a strong message of social aggregation, through sport. Sara knows that it's not just the results that make an athlete great, but also their attitude and respect both in competition and beyond.
