On the rubble of one of the many wars that have been going through our daily lives for too long now, fish roam that re-inhabit and transform reality, an invitation to literally imagine another world, where nature reappropriates the planet and where wars, specialties of mankind, have disappeared.

The act of imagining and desiring are central themes in the production of numerous comics and illustrations produced for the site mammaiuto.it of which he is the founder.

The K Ration - Tagliapietre intended for a mature audience will contain, collected at random, Italian and French graphic novels, Italian adventure and comedy comics, underground and mainstream: all produced by the authors of via Tagliapietre. Plus some surprise gadgets, such as postcards, stickers or posters.

The Cause

Focsiv is the largest Italian Federation of Christian Organization about cooperation and volunteering; It was founded in 1972, today it brings together 94 Italian organizations present in over 80 countries. From its birth Focsiv and its Organizations have employed over 27,000 international volunteers who have made their human and professional contribution available to the poorest populations, to offer its support in the implementation of development projects in the social-health, agricultural-food, educational-training, defense of human rights, protection of childhood and adolescence, gender equality, in Italy and in the whole World.

From the collaboration between Focsiv and the designers of the Studio in Via Tagliapietre in Bologna, the fundraising campaign "Ration K - Focsiv" was born. The authors involved are comics and illustration professionals, a graphic designer, Nino Pellacani, old glory of Italian basketball, and an editor, Andrea Plazzi who has made many of the publications he edited available, as well as Francesco Matteuzzi, all gathered in the shared studio in via Tagliapietre.

It is a gesture to fight the violence of war with a source of survival such as imagination and reading. The idea is offering for the auction a unique object, a box with an original drawing containing a surprise made up of drawings and books: just like in the RAZION K of World War II, where a box containing food and cigarettes was distributed to American soldiers.

The boxes’ contents change according to the target, that can be adult or children.
