The Prize

Enjoy 2 one-hour sessions of private Gyrotonic and/or Pilates instruction by Ellen Mullman.

Ellen works one-on-one with clients to improve flexibility, balance, posture and alignment. She is certified in Gyrotonic and Pilates and trained in MELT (myofascial energetic lengthening technique). Increasing length and strength, and reducing pain are just two of the benefits of working with Ellen. Studios are located in the Upper West Side and Chelsea (Manhattan) or in East Hampton (Long Island).

The Cause

Founded in 1980 by the renowned, late breast cancer surgeon Umberto Veronesi, MD, and Italian businessman Alessandro di Montezemolo, the American-Italian Cancer Foundation (AICF) is a nonprofit organization based in New York that supports cancer research, education and control, emphasizing the outstanding resources of Italy and the United States, recognizing world-class scientific excellence in medicine, and serving medically-underserved New York City women through breast cancer screening, outreach and education.

AICF has two core programs: the Mobile, No-Cost Breast Cancer Screening Program provides no-cost mammograms and clinical breast exams to medically-underserved women on a Mobile Care Clinic that travels the five boroughs of New York City, five days a week, year around; and the International Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship Program funds innovative cancer research projects of young scientists who work and train in collaboration with mentors at major centers in the United States.
