Description of the installation:

The piano is part of the installation-concert #10 Street Pianos, conceived by Piano City Milano in 2013, staged at the Gallery of Modern Art in Milan.

The work involved the use of ten old pianos, which were tuned and checked, and beautifully finished with colors, images and words from writers of the city. It was designed with the idea of ​​bringing the energy of the outskirts of the city towards the center and vice versa.

Details Piano:

It is an upright piano from the 1970/80s. It is a studio piano, with mechanical workings, crossed strings, 88 notes with mutes. A European piano that is representative of a school that has its roots in the history of music and keyboard instruments.

Despite being a studio piano, it has tonal qualities and mechanical quality. It is a perfect piano to learn with, giving the opportunity to the novice to have a strong and ready for anything piano under their fingers, but at the same time a piano with a tradition that has lasted and will last over time.

The piano will be on display at Piano City in Milan on 23 and 24 May 2015 at the GAM in Milan in Via Palestro 16.
