Can anything tell you about someone's personality better than a portrait?

Maki Galimberti is one of the most respected and well-known photographers in Italy. Many of his portraits have graced the covers of magazines and books and many of his shots have become truly iconic. His works always feature his own qualities of sincerity and intelligence, depth and irony.

The Dalai Lama, Tom Hanks, Roberto Bolle, Liliana Segre, Rita Levi Montalcini, Bianca Balti, Toni Servillo, Valentina Vezzali, Cristiana Capotondi are just some of the exceptional people that Maki Galimberti has met and photographed.

Today, thanks to his generosity, you have the chance to join this priviliged group and tell your own story.

Maki Galimberti is offering the opportunity to have a portrait created, based on individual or family photos, with the auction proceeds going to support The Circle Over project by The Circle Italia.

The photo shoot will take place at Maki Galimberti's studio in Milan, Italy.

The Circle is a network of women that is committed to helping women living in difficult situations around the world. The Circle is a circle of women who provide their skills and time to design, implement and support fundraising and awareness campaigns.

Founded in England by Annie Lennox in 2008, The Circle was set up in Italy in 2010. The organization believes in women's rights and that the affirmation of rights is able to bring well-being; it is committed to raising awareness of the importance of values such as equality, education and merit and understands that if you help one woman you are actually helping many people. The women who work as The Circle are unpaid volunteers and the organization does not keep any profits but, instead, invests them in projects that go to directly benefit specialized and trusted non-profit organizations that have good chances of sustainability.
