Retail value of lot: €100

From medieval monastery to nineteenth century winegrowing estate, from innovative cellar to wine tourism destination. Travaglino, the oldest winery in the Oltrepò Pavese, today cultivates more than 80 hectares of vineyards set in a woody, rural landscape of unspoilt beauty.

With 400 hectares on a single tract of land, including 80 hectares planted with vines, 12 farmsteads, an historic village and an inn, Travaglino is a world of emotions, where vines, men and landscape reveal the complexity and beauty of an area rich in history, traditions, flavours.

The estate dates back to 1111 and has been owned by the Comi family since 1868. Vincenzo Comi chose Travaglino for the beauty of the landscape and the production of wine as a vocation. The main grape varieties and wines are Pinot Noir and Riesling Renano.

Respect for the grapes first and then for the wine is Travaglino's philosophy, each step is important to maintain and increase quality. The historic location is a magical place to visit, the original brick cellars and the tasting room offering a truly authentic experience.
