Experience one of the World's most famous cross-country steeplechases!

The Velká Pardubická is a famous cross-country steeplechase run in Pardubice, Czech Republic. The race was first run in 1874 and it takes place annually on the second Sunday in October. It is run over a distance of 6.9km (4.28 Miles) and has 31 obstacles, usually taking around 9-10 minutes for the horses to finish the course.

The racecourse is located approximately 1.5 hours from Prague so is easily accessible for a day trip whilst spending a few days in Czech Republic's Capital City! There are four qualifying races during the season all leading up to this main event in October.

The 4* EA Embassy Prague Hotel is located in the centre of Prague, and within walking distance of the main tourist attractions in the city. This1880 Neo-Renaissance building was re-designed in Art Deco style and is hugely popular with tourists due to its proximity to many bars and restaurants.
