He has scored 4 tries for Italy including 2 in the Six Nations match between Wales and Italy in 2014 which Wales won 23-15 despite Campagnaro scoring twice. Campagnaro won many plaudits for his Man of the match performance.
Campagnaro moved to Exeter after the World Cup with a two-year contract and the team went on to win the English Premiership 2016-17 title. In 2018 he signed a contract with the Wasps.

Comitato “Preta Fraz. di Amatrice Emergenza Terremoto 24/08” was founded by a group of fellow citizens of Preta with the goal to rebuild the village and to be a reference point for the citizens. Petra was devastated by the Italian earthquake in August 2016.
This committee wants to keep Petra's community united and to help the population to keep living in a welcoming village from a social, urbanistic and environmental point of view.
The charity organizes events which make the population feel close again and also helps raise funds.
