Official Giro d'Italia 2015 'Maglia Rosa' signed by Alberto Contador!

This auction is for an official 'maglia rosa' (pink jersey) that is given to the leader of the Tour of Italy which has been signed by the winner of this year's tour: the Spaniard, Alberto Contador. He is one of six riders to have won all three of the Grand Tour race: Tour of Italy (2008, 2015); Tour de France ( 2007, 2009) and Vuelta a España (2008, 2012, 2014).

Giro D'italia has decided to auction this item to support WWF Programma Alpi Europeo.

原因

WWF European Alpine Programme (EALP) aims to preserve the Alps through a supranational approach and the identification of priority habitats and species.

The program Alpine Committee (EALP) was born out of a cross-border project of species protection involving the national organizations of the WWF Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France and Italy. The goal is international cooperation for the conservation of plant and animal biodiversity in the Alpine region.

This year WWF EALP decided to promote a campaign for the wolf and, to do so, they have signed a partnership agreement with the Tour of Italy, becoming the Official Charity for 2015.
