The official toy of the Tour of Italy signed by Mark Cavendish!

This is the mascot of the Tour, signed by Mark Cavendish, the 2011 road race World Champion.

Wolfie is a wolf toy 23cm tall and will be the official mascot of the Tour of Italy.

Giro and WWF have agreed to choose the wolf; first of all because it is a tireless runner who really represents the Tour of Italy. Also, the WWF have worked tirelessly for years in supporting the world's wolf population.

原因

WWF European Alpine Programme (EALP) aims to preserve the Alps through a supranational approach and the identification of priority habitats and species.

The program Alpine Committee (EALP) was born out of a cross-border project of species protection involving the national organizations of the WWF Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France and Italy. The goal is international cooperation for the conservation of plant and animal biodiversity in the Alpine region.

This year WWF EALP decided to promote a campaign for the wolf and, to do so, they have signed a partnership agreement with the Tour of Italy, becoming the Official Charity for 2015.
