Take home this artwork "New York, One way" by the artist Antonello Arena.
The painting is acrylic on canvas and measures 100 x 100 cm approx.
One of the biggest names on the Italian contemporary art scene, Arena came to the public eye at the Venice Biennale in 1988.
At a young age he became part of the Nouveau Réalisme movement based in Nice, France, created by Pierre Restany, one of the greatest European art critics of the 20th Century, and followed by Mimmo Rotella, Christo, Arman and many other artists who went on to become famous.
It was, in fact, Restany who described Arena as being "the most innovative Italian artist of the middle generation".
Arena is also artist to the stars. Recently, he was commissioned to create a sculpture for the beachfront of Salina in memory of the legendary actor Massimo Troisi.
