Nelson Mandela Framed Authentic Signature 

This auction is for a Nelson Mandela signature, accompanied by photographs and a South African bank note printed with his face. There is also an engraved, silver plaque giving a brief summary of his life and career. This is one of a very small amount of these items were signed by Mandela himself in the early 2000s in order to raise money for a foundation of his choice. 

Mandela was President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. In the course of his life, he received more than 250 honours, the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize, the US Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Soviet Lenin Peace Prize. In South Africa he is often called 'Tata', meaning 'Father of the Nation'.

The signature and the photographs are mounted and then presented in a wooden frame.
