On November 18^th, Mickey Mouse, the renowned character created by Walt Disney, celebrated his 88^th birthday.

This Mickey Mouse sculpture has been created for the occasion of the “Buon Compleanno Topolino” (“Happy birthday Mickey Mouse) party, held in Radio Italia’s auditorium in Italy.

During the event, the artist Claudio Sciarrone, creator of many comics in the Italian weekly publication “Topolino” and in “PK”, decorated the sculpture, surprising the audience with his amazing work.

The sculpture is hand-painted with acrylics.

Claudio Sciarrone, author and artist, spent most of his career working for Disney. He started in September 1990, after his high school graduation in Milan. He worked as a comic artist, teacher, cartoonist and many other positions working on videogames, animation and digital entertainment. Co-creator of the PK saga, based on Paperinik adventures, his last project was the creation of the 197 figures for “Le Cronache del Pianeta T”, a saga about Mickey Mouse.
