Francesco Totti is an Italian former footballer, who played as a striker or midfielder, world champion in 2006 and European runner-up in 2000 with the Italian national team. Considered one of the best Italian players of all time and one of the strongest in the world of his generation, over the course of his competitive career he always played for Roma, a team for which he was captain from 1998 to 2017, for a record total of 19 seasons, winning 2000/01 Scudetto, the third in the club's history, 2001 and 2007 Italian Super Cups and 2006/07 and 2007/08 Italian Cups.
The jersey was prepared and used by the players in the post-match of the match against Genoa CFC, valid for the 38th matchday of Serie A TIM 2016/17, played at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on 28 May 28 2017, ended 3-2 for the Giallorossi, to celebrate the farewell to soccer of "Er Pupone" Totti.
For this match, Nike specially produced a version of the 2017/18 kit featuring a patch dedicated to the legend Francesco Totti. However, the shirt does not have the usual screen-printed inner label and the typical AS Roma matchday patch, with a special nameset.
Totti has signed the shirt on the back, making it a unique collector's item.
