Win this white/light-blue Argentina home shirt, issued/worn by Argentinian former striker Diego Armando Maradona during a match against Denmark, valid for the second edition of the Coppa Artemio Franchi, the soccer tournament between European and South American National Champion teams.
The game played at the José María Minella Stadium in Mar del Plata, Argentina on February 24, 1993 ended 1-1 following the self-goal by Nestor Craviotto and Claudio Caniggia's goal. The Albiceste team won the cup in the penalty shootout.
This Trophy was dedicated to Artemio Franchi, Italian sports manager and UEFA President from 1972 to 1983, who died in a car accident.
The first edition, played in 1985, was won by France, who overtook Uruguay in the final match. A third edition of the tournament is scheduled for March 2018, to be played in Milan. Participants in the competition will not just be the European and Copa America winners, but also the finalists.
