Giorgio Chinaglia was an Italian naturalized American sports manager and footballer, who played as a striker. After winning the 1973/74 Scudetto with Lazio, he moved to the American league in the spring of 1976 to play for the New York Cosmos. He is the Italian player with the best average of goals scored/league matches played (319 in 429 matches in Serie A and NASL).
