Dennis Nicolaas Maria Bergkamp is a Dutch sports manager, football manager and former footballer who played as a striker or midfielder. Regarded as one of the greatest players of his generation, he ranks 34th in World Soccer magazine's list of the best footballers of the 20th century. In 1992 and 1993 he also placed on the podium for the Ballon d'Or. In his career he played for Ajax, Inter Milan and Arsenal, winning several trophies including a Dutch championship, two Netherlands Cups, a Netherlands Super Cup, a UEFA Cup and a Cup Winners' Cup with the Lancieri, a UEFA Cup with Inter and three English league titles, four FA Cups and four Charity Shields with the Gunners. With the Dutch national team he played 79 games scoring 37 goals, placing as third top goalscorer.
