Jonathan Milan is an Italian track and road cyclist, professional since 2021, with sprinting qualities who rides for the Bahrain Victorious team.

In the 106th edition of the Giro, in addition to winning the second stage, Jonathan earned the cyclamen jersey, valid for the points classification, in a disputed battle with the revelation Derek Gee.

Only two other Italians have won the points classification in the year of their debut in the Giro: Giovanni Fidanza in 1989 and Fabrizio Guidi in 1996.

In 2021 Milan won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games in the team pursuit; in the same year he won the European title in the individual pursuit, and again in 2023, and the world title in the team pursuit.

Jonathan Milan from Friuli took his first career win at the Giro d'Italia, becoming the youngest Italian sprinter since Mario Cipollini to win a stage on Italian roads.
