Win this light blue Italian National Team home shirt, issued/worn by the former long-time Inter defender Tarcisio Burgnich for a 1970 season match. That season Italy was the runner-up in the Mexico World Cup.
Born in Ruda, Italy on April 25, 1939, Burgnich was one of the strongest defensive players in the history of Italian soccer. European Champion in 1968 and second place at the 1970 World Cup, Tarcisio was a flagship player of the Inter team, playing for them from 1962 to 1974.
Over twelve years he participated in 467 official games with the Nerazzurri, winning four Scudetti, two Champions Cups and two Intercontinental Cups, becoming one of the most integral elements to the team's success in the roles of both right fullback and sweeper.
The #2, sewn on the back of the shirt, shows signs of wear.
