The nonprofit organization Friends of the Casa delle Carità was founded in 2007 in order to support the activities at the Casa della Carità – “Angelo Abriani” in Milan. This wonderful place of hospitability and culture takes care of hundreds of people a year and, at the same time, develops informative training programs regarding social commitment against fragility and poverty.

The members of the Casa della Carità are constantly working to consolidate and spread their values of solidarity through the construction of a network made up of similar associations that promote solidarity in Italy.

With this in mind, the association organizes studies and in-depth programs that favor public awareness regarding social disadvantage. The association also organizes events to raise funds for the activities at the Casa della Carità. Concerts, markets, shows and conferences are useful methods to raise funds to support our numerous projects of hospitability, support and assistance to the Casa della Carità. In recent times, the association has become active in projects regarding the elderly and their isolation in the big city. They have built a solidarity network, set up a help hotline and promoted group events for them to socialize.
