LP "The Golden Age Of" bt Benny Goodman, 1955.
Vintage record preserved in its original sleeve. The cover displays various signs of wear due to age, an aspect that in no way affects the value of the item. This 33 rpm is still in working order.
Born in Chicago on May 30, 1909, Benjamin David 'Benny' Goodman was an American clarinetist, composer and bandleader. He enjoyed great success, particularly in the Thirties, with his Big Band and is considered a leading figure in the swing genre.
Benny Goodman played an important role in the stylistic evolution that took jazz from Classical to Swing, a wave that led many musicians to BeBop. He also contributed to building a bridge between different musical genres, effectively creating a sort of musician and instrumentalist who was open to both classical music and jazz. This combination remains very much in vogue today.
Record company: RCA.
