Match issued Test jersey, signed and worn by Furlong for the official Lions 2021 squad headshots on player meeting day - the first time players meet ahead of the Tour and the day they wear the official kit for the very first time.
Tadhg had less than 20 Ireland caps when he was selected for the 2017 Lions Tour to NZ, but with such quality, he started every Test. Four years later, when selected for the 2021 Tour to SA, Furlong had firmly established himself as one of the best tightheads in world rugby with over 50 international appearances.
Tadhg came through the ranks at New Ross RFC and Clontarf before making his senior debut for Leinster in 2013 against the Dragons. Increased game time at the RDS led to a Test debut against Wales and he came off the bench in Ireland’s Rugby World Cup pool stage victory over Romania in 2015. Furlong earned a first international start in 2016 against SA and truly established himself later that year, starting three of the four Tests, including the memorable win over NZ.
An impressive 2017 Six Nations led to a Lions call-up, where he made his debut off the bench against the NZ Barbarians before starting against the Crusaders and Maori All Blacks. Impressive front-row displays secured a Test spot and he completed 338 mins in total during the Tour.
The following year he was key in Ireland's Six Nations Grand Slam, summer tour victory over AU (scoring his first international try) and autumn triumph over NZ. He notched two tries at the 2019 World Cup before returning for the 2021 Six Nations after injuries sidelined him. Back as a pillar for Ireland, he earned a second Lions call-up.
Get your hands on the official Lions Test jersey; unwashed and signed, this is a special memento, complete with certificate of authenticity.
