Madame Bovary is one of Gustave Flaubert's most important novels, first published in installments in the newspaper "La Revue de Paris" between 1 October and 15 December 1856. It tells the story of a provincial doctor, Emma Bovary, who begins adulterous relationships and lives beyond her means to escape the boredom, banality and mediocrity of provincial life. It is one of the greatest works of French and world literature.
Condition: This is an antique book displaying various signs of aging, including stains, and has come unstitched in various places. Part of the back cover is missing.

At the center of our activities are the protection, promotion and enhancement of culture and art in all of their forms and expressions. To this end, one of our main goals for 2017 is to create a fund for scholarships for deserving but economically disadvantaged students.

We believe that knowledge is a right of everyone: every citizen of the world should have the possibility to access it, independently from his/her economic situation, because only instruction makes men truly free.
