Giorgio Chiesi was born in Felina, in the province of Reggio Emilia. He then moved to Milan, where he completed his studies.
There he met artists including Enzo Vicentini and Gianfranco Ferroni and it was thanks to their encouragement that he decided to dedicate himself completely to art.
Paolo Marini, a gallerist from Florence, organized the artist's first solo exhibition in 1979. In the following years, Chiesi went on to hold personal exhibitions in major Italian cities with the support of numerous collectors.
