On 24 May 2023, the Nerazzurri won the Coppa Italia for the ninth time in their history, reconfirming the success achieved in 1939, 1978, 1982, 2005, 2006, 2010, 2011 and 2022. After victories against Parma Calcio 1913, Atalanta and Juventus FC, Inter FC faced its 15th Coppa Italia final against ACF Fiorentina. It was the first time that Inter Milan and ACF Fiorentina had played a Coppa Italia final against each other. After Fiorentina took the lead with a goal by Nicolás González, Inter FC snatched victory in a 1-2 comeback with two goals from Lautaro Martínez, adding the Coppa Italia 2023 to the trophy room.
