The IBISCUS LEAUGE ONLUS is an association of the parents of children in care, or outside treatment of the Regional Reference Center for Pediatric Oncology at the Policlinic in Catania and all the members, who since 1986, have decided to work for the development of assistance and research in diseases of the blood (such as leukemia) and tumors of children.

OUR DAILY COMMITMENT

WE SUPPORT the children and their families, with targeted interventions that help reduce the problems created since the individualization of the diagnosis (listening, buying basic necessities, provision of small grants in case of poverty, pharmaceutical delivery)

OUR RECEPTION HOME offers a place to stay free of charge to all the families without a home during the hospital care period or the cure of DH in their children.

The majority of the funds raised are used towards RESEARCH, both for the purchase of scientific equipment and reagents for the use in the Cytogenetic Laboratory that the specialized staff works in.

OUR GOALS

We want to guarantee a “global” assistance to the little patients affected by tumors/leukemia, putting the first place, the research and training of the medical staff, or to buy more sophisticated and newer machines for diagnosing and caring for the onco-hematological diseases in children.
