Mike Tyson vs Frank Bruno 1989 Fight Print poster signed by both Tyson and Bruno.

This auction is for an iconic print poster of Frank Bruno and Mike Tyson from one of their two fights, this print is from the 1989 fight.

Mike Tyson vs. Frank Bruno was a professional boxing match contested on February 25, 1989 for the WBA, WBC, IBF and lineal heavyweight championships. Tyson won the fight by technical knockout with just 10 seconds to go in the fifth round. In 1996 there was a rematch where Tyson would again dominate Bruno.

Mike Tyson was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles, and the only heavyweight to successively unify them. He has been inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the World Boxing Hall of Fame.

Frank Bruno, MBE, born in Hammersmith, London, was a British heavyweight boxer. He won the WBC and European heavyweight titles during his fourteen year career and fought world heavyweight champions like Lennox Lewis. He is a well loved British Hero.

This print has been signed by both fighters, making it a fantastic collector's item for boxing fans.

The Cause

Ava Helene Atkinson was born on May 26, 2014, but because she was born so early, she experienced many health issues.

Ava was moved to the neo-natal unit where she was put on a ventilator to help her breathe. Hours later, Ava’s condition had not improved, and after discussions with the consultant it was decided that due to the severity of the health issues she had, we as parents had to make the most devastating decision of our lives, together with the care team, to withdraw treatment. Minutes after coming off the ventilator Ava passed away peacefully with her family around her.

Whilst at the hospital we were given a keepsake box in which we were able to have memories of Ava. These precious memories are there for us to look at and cherish. Her keepsake box has brought comfort to us all, so much so that we have decided we would like to put together our own memory boxes for other parents who have suffered the loss of a child.

We have decided to make these keepsake boxes ourselves and hope that these boxes will be looked at for years to come.
