Hope Solo is an American former soccer goalkeeper. She was a goalkeeper for the United States women's national soccer team from 2000 to 2016, and is a World Cup champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist.

Solo is regarded as one of the top female goalkeepers of all time and currently holds the U.S. record for most career clean sheets. She was the starting goalkeeper for the majority of the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup and helped lead the U.S. national team to the semifinals having given up only two goals in four games, including three consecutive shutouts.

The mission of Bridge The Gaps (BTG) is to assist underprivileged, lower-income, minority, and at-risk athletic students by reconnecting their cultural, emotional, mental, and educational gaps.

Our Vision is to utilize sports to teach student athletes to be successful at home, in the classroom, in the community, and in life after sports.

BTG believes all students should have access to the resources they need for mental, social, and physical wellness needed to live healthy lives.

Part of Bridge The Gaps objectives include providing athletic students with opportunities they may not have access to due to financial limitations. This includes mentoring, tutoring, and physical training to help them achieve better grades, reach their academic goals, and remain competitive in today’s athletic market.
